Hello there!
We are aido, the organic textile goods label in Berlin Germany.
Aido is owned by Haruka Wada and Miki Kawai, both are from Japan and based in Berlin. Haruka Wada is an entrepreneur and she runs several businesses to liaise Japan and Europe by herself. Miki Kawai is a fashion designer. She is passionate about Japanese traditional clothes and co-founded upcycle kimono fashion label Wanda Wasabi.
In Japanese, “ai (愛)” means “love” and “do (道)” means “path”.
The brand is named “aido” to help guide us on the path to loving and caring for ourselves and the planet we live on.
About us
Haruka and Miki both have sensitive skin and have experienced skin discomfort and irritation caused by products that touch the skin. They have got to know the advantage of organic cotton from their experience, and they discovered that the organic standard is high and strictly controlled in Germany. Then they learned about reusable cotton pads for menstruation and found out about their feeling of ease on the skin, the comfort of wearing them, their environmental friendliness, and designableness. They decided to spread the skin-friendly pad for all skin types, especially those who have suffered from skin problems like them.
Our products
We use hand-selected organic cotton produced in Germany. For our Pure series, we use GOTS-certified cotton to make it safe for the skin and the environment. For more information about our product, please visit our product page.
We are looking forward to getting to know you!
